Broken

It's been 216 days since Preston was taken from us. It doesn't get any easier for myself or my family. We miss him and cry for him every day.

For myself there are so many triggers. I cannot walk into a public area and see a group of teenagers without being reminded of Preston.

I see all my friends and family from around the country that are posting pictures of their kids’ proms and graduations and I know that Preston will never get to attend his.

I went to the event at the taphouse this past Saturday.

One of my triggers is a song by Seether called Broken. It has now happened twice while driving to an event for Preston that it has come on the radio. It happened again this last Saturday as soon as I left the house. On the way to Preston's event, it came on. I have to almost pull over as it is just a gut punch to me.

It was great to see everyone and thanks for coming.
