Preston’s Legacy
One week from today is Preston’s 17th heavenly birthday. September has been off to a very rough start, but I (we as a family) have to keep going. What I would give to go back a year ago with all the excitement that surrounded his 16th. Busy schedules, celebrating, car keys, new whip, and homecoming. It was the best time of my life. and maybe his too. Starbucks and donuts were always a tradition. Big balloons and birthday marathons.
In one week we celebrate Preston’s life and legacy. Now we are limited and can only do what we can do, while trudging along in grief, missing out on so many milestones, trying to move forward amongst the chaos, all while continuing to honor Preston to the best of our ability. I will forever put you first son, and I can only hope that more people can catch a glimpse of who you were, and the impact you have made to so many.
Preston William Lord. Named after my legendary Grandpa Bill. If you knew Preston, he had created a legacy before he passed too. Always put others well being before himself, he would help out in any way he could. He inspired me to be a better mother, and person every day. Thank you to those who didn’t know him and could see his into his heart and his essential nature as a human. He was truly the best.
Thank you Chandler, AZ for honoring my boy.
